We are a growing small business who provide forest school programmes for local schools, nurseries and groups, and are looking for passionate and inspiring forest school leaders and forest school assistants to join our team.

Position: Forest School Leader 

We welcome applications from people who hold a Level 3 forest school qualification, someone who is currently in training or have other relevant outdoor education qualifications. All equipment and insurance will be provided.

Job type: Freelance – Part-time and Ongoing

Rate of pay: Competitive rates of pay, dependant on training and qualifications.

Hours: Hours are negotiable to suit applicant and are varied to increase with a growing company. Hours offered will be a mixture of weekday term-time/school hours, occasional weekends and school holidays

Essential or willingness to gain these before employment:

  • Enhanced DBS certificate
  • Outdoor first aid or other relevant first aid certification
  • Safeguarding training

Our ideal candidate will love spending time outdoors in all weathers, thrive engaging with children and young people and enjoy creating enriched and fun experiences to enable our participants to fulfil their potential.

Desirable:

  • Food hygiene
  • Experience leading forest school sessions
  • Experience of writing risk assessments, lesson plans and running forest school programmes in schools and for groups.
  • Experience working with children in a work setting

Position: Forest School Assistant

Forest school or outdoor qualifications are NOT required for this position, although experience with children in a work setting would be advantageous.

Job type: Part time – Initially this role will be to support our parent and child group on Wednesday mornings throughout term time. With the opportunity to work school holidays to support our forest school holiday provision.

Rate of pay: Parent and child group = £35.00 for the session (9am to 12pm)

Hours: Parent and child group = 9-12pm. Other hours are negotiable to suit applicant and are varied to increase with a growing company. Hours offered will be a mixture of weekday term-time/school hours, occasional weekends and school holidays

Essential or willingness to gain these before employment:

  • Enhanced DBS certificate
  • Safeguarding training
  • Experience of working with children

You must enjoy spending time outdoors in all weathers and love playing games, engaging, supporting children and young people.

Desirable but not essential:

  • First Aid training
  • Food hygiene
  • Outdoor education experience
  • Child care qualifications
  • Any forest school/outdoor qualifications
