Your day at Applefield:
Join us for a Wheely Spooky Family Day of forest school, farm fun and crafts, specifically designed for children with special educational needs and disabilities, physically disabled children, their siblings, parents and carers, set at Applefield, a beautiful, intimate and private smallholding in Sidlesham, near Selsey.
Our Halloween themed day will be full of activities and crafts that all the family can participate in and enjoy. We will be using seasonal foraged materials to make a conker worm or spider and getting creative with wool, feathers and ribbon to make magic wands. We will also be making no-carve pumpkins decorated with nuts, feathers, twigs, leaves and acorns, a perfect family activity.
Some time will also be spent having a relaxed stroll exploring the farm and meeting some of the animals.
There will be a camp fire to brew some tea and enjoy some ghoulish and gooey marshmallows whilst relaxing and enjoying new company around the camp fire, before a leisurely lunch break to enjoy your picnic before an afternoon at Lizzie's Craft Club.
At Lizzie's Craft Club you will spend a relaxing afternoon making spooky posters, pumpkin magnets or door hangers and mini treat buckets too. A drink and biscuit will also be provided during Craft Club.
Free. Places are fully funded by Wellspring West Sussex for children with special educational needs and disabilities, physically disabled children and their siblings, parents and carers. Spaces are limited and booking is essential, please book the places for all children and adults that will be attending via the "register" button. Please note there is no need to book a place for siblings who are babes in arms and children under 2 years.
