What To Expect:

Little Wonders farm adventures is a parent and child group for children between the ages of 18 months and 5 years, introducing your child to nature and outdoor learning through play. Your child will experience life on a smallholding, meet and greet the animals, explore the farm and experience some forest school activities.

This is the last of our six week programmes before the Summer holidays and all the lambs have now been born at Applefield, growing fast and springing around the field, hopefully will have a chance to get up close to one or two and watch them playing together.

We have lots of Summery forest school activities and crafts to do, they will be different every week, with a theme on occasions and just for fun sessions too! Sometimes we will be sawing a piece of wood or whittling a stick for marshmallows and other times there will be cutting, making and glueing to make a craft item to take home. Children will have the option to participate in the activities or they may choose to explore and play instead.

Available every week to play with will be the mud kitchen, with added water to make it extra gooey! bubble fun, bug hunting, fun in the hammock and playing on the swing. Plus our work in progress "The mini interest house" situated in our wooded area, for the budding investigator, there will be an interest table with things the children have collected to look at, explore and play with, plus items we have added too.

We always try to have a fire every week for the children to toast marshmallows over, there will be a piece of home-made cake for adults with a cup of tea or coffee and hot chocolate or squash for children.

This is a perfect opportunity for children to form new friendships, introduce some forest school activities and have some outdoor fun and learning in a relaxed and private environment.
