The fun to be had....?
"Superworm is super-long. Superworm is super-strong. Watch him wiggle! See him squirm! Hip, Hip, hooray for SUPERWORM!"
Why not join us for some Superworm themed woodland fun. Lets go on a Superworm trail around the woods and see if we can find some of the characters from the book. Then make a mini wormery to take home, using compost, soil and sand, we'll add some of our own Superworms and some food for them too! To look after your wormery you will need to keep it moist and don't forget to feed your superworms with some vegetable peelings!
Get creative and make a stick Superworm and decorate with coloured wool and googley eyes. Make a little cone bee on a stick to buzz around the woods and polinate the plants or maybe you will decide to make some superworm characters with clay, cones and foraged items. What is your favourite characters, maybe it's a toad, beetle or bug, who knows!
If that isn't enough.......
Why not spend time exploring and playing in the woods, relax in the hammock, have a go on the rope swing, play in the mud kitchen or go bug hunting and see if you can find some of the Superworm characters.
We'll finish our session enjoying some marshmallows toasted over the fire, hot chocolate or squash before it's time to go home...all worn out.
What to wear?
All participants are advised to wear appropriate outdoor clothes and outdoor footwear for woodland terrains, warm clothes and wet weather clothes if necessary.
