With different activities throughout the week there is something new to do and learn everyday. Such as…. \n\nFire lighting skills\nWoodworking and learn to use a variety of hand tools.\nSnack cooking over the fire\nLearn about healthy eating and help prepare the lunch cooked over the fire.\nTeam games\nDiscovery\, Exploring and playing\nDen and shelter building\nAnd anything else we can think of!!!\n\nChildren will have the opportunity to choose to join in the activities offered\, play with new friends\, explore\, be active and learn new skills too. \nPrice: £28.50 per child\, includes a freshly prepares hot lunch cooked over the campfire. DESCRIPTION:A family day of forest school\, farm fun and crafts for all ages. \nEligibility: These sessions are FREE to attend and are funded by the WSCC HAF grant. The sessions are specifically designed for children with special educational needs and disabilities\, physically disabled children\, their siblings\, parents and carers. To access the free places children will also need to be eligible for benefit assessed free school meals and each have a HAF code to book their place. \nDate: Sunday 7th April\, 10-3pm \nLocation: Applefield Smallholding\, Chalk Lane\, Sidelsham\, Chichester \nThe day.. \nThe Morning: \n\nExplore the smallholding and meet some of the farm animals. Feed and meet Rosemary and Angela the donkeys\, Chilli\, Olive and Jigsaw the goats\, the sheep and chickens\, including bedroom slippers the chicken!\nParticipate in some forest school activities such as fire lighting\, whittling sticks to toast marshmallows over the fire\, learn to use some hand tools to make a woodcraft item.\nBug hunt and mud kitchen\nSwing and hammock\nNatural crafts\nRelax and spend some quality time as a family in a beautiful and peaceful setting.\nBe involved in preparing and cooking the lunch over the fire.\n\nLunch: Lunch is included as part of the day \nThe Afternoon: \n\nEaster themed crafts to take home as a reminder of your day with Lizzie at Lizzie’s Craft Club.\nRelaxing and soaking in the therapeautic atmosphere of Applefield.\nEntertainment from Chris North – Freedom Through Fun.\n\nPrice: FREE – Places are fully funded through the WSCC HAF grant. \nBooking information: ALL childrens spaces should be booked through the WSCC online booking page and can be found by seaching our event through: https://haf.bookinglab.co.uk/westsussex/37147/login. Places are limited and are offered on a first come first served basis. \nSEND details: We would be grateful if you can let us know any information that you feel necessary. Please note that this is a drop off session. \nWhat to expect… Join us at our farm and forest school session\, with lots of different fun and engaging activities and experiences to do at every session. We also have the use of an indoor and covered areas around the farm to use in cold and wet weather. \n\nExplore the farm and get up close to and feed some of our farm animals\, including Rosemary and Angela the donkeys and the very hungry goats!\nVenture to our wooded area where we have the nest swing\, hammock and mud kitchen to enjoy and also the woodworking area to make Christmas themed items to take home.\nAround the fire circle you can practice or learn some fire lighting skills\, cook a campfire treat such as marshmallows\, S’mores\, damper bread or pastries on sticks over our campfire.\nNatural crafts such as Christmas decorations and keep sakes.\nLearn about healthy eating and help prepare the food for lunch which we will cook over our fire.\nPlaying team games\nAnd lot of lots of fun memories to make!\n\nPrice: £28.00 per child\, includes a hot lunch freshly prepared over the fire\, all the woodcrafts and novelty craft items made to take home\, hot chocolate or squash\, and snack cooking activity. \nFree HAF FSM places: Funded by the WSCC Holidays and Activities Grant there are a number of places available for eligible free school meal children to attend for free.
