DESCRIPTION:Dates: Six week term\, from the Wed 22nd February until Wed 29th March inclusive\, for 2 hours between 9.30am – 11.30am. \nAge range: Children 18 months and 5 years. Children under 18 months are free to attend with a paying sibling. \nWhat To Expect: Little Wonders farm adventures is a parent and child group introducing your child to nature and outdoor learning through play. Your child will experience life on a smallholding\, meet and greet the animals\, explore the farm and experience some forest school activities. \nWe love creating at Little Wonders and each week there will be a new creation to take home and treasure. We use a variety of natural foraged items and crafting materials to make imaginative seasonal creations\, learn how to saw wood\, use palm drills to make holes in wood and some fire lighting too. There will also be opportunities to go on a mini bug hunt\, relax in the hammock\, have a go on our nest swing\, play in the mud kitchen and explore. \nEach week we have a camp fire and one of the favourite things the children like to do is toasting marshmallows or another snack cooking activity that we occasionally do. Not forgetting to make sometime for playing with new friends and exploring this lovely setting too. DESCRIPTION:What is the Wild Space? \nThe Wild Space is a family orientated group for home educated children aged 5 to 11yrs and their parents or carers\, offering fun\, explorative and skill developing sessions. Children can choose to learn new skills or develop existing ones. Tool work\, fire lighting\, campfire cooking\, shelter building and bushcraft are on the agenda\, or maybe sometime to explore\, make new friends or just relax and connect with themselves and be at one with nature! Our sessions are inspired by the children for the children\, using nature at its heart. With a relaxed learner led approach children can make choices about their time with us\, their skill development\, and learning opportunities following their own learning style. \nOtto the therapy dog will be supporting the sessions and is looking forward to making new hooman friends and helping the children settle in. He says his favourite things are playing\, exploring and eating snacks\, preferably not his own! \nThese sessions are also a great opportunity for parents to come together\, you can decide how involved you would like to be\, participate in the activities offered or have a chat and coffee with like minded individuals. These sessions are as much for the adult as they are for the children (An adult is required to stay for the duration of the session). \nSessions are run by a level 3 forest school leader\, forest school assistant. Fully DBS certificated\, first aid and safeguarding trained\, and Otto the therapy dog\, who is has heaps of enthusiasm and love to give! \nDates: 5 week programme\, from the Thursday 12th January to Thursday 9th February 2023 inclusive\, for 2 hours between 1pm – 3pm. \nAge range: Home educated children aged 5 to 11yrs and their parents or carers. You will spend a relaxed 2.5 hours learning how to make your very own traditional Christmas wreath to adorn your door. You will have the opportunity to learn all aspects of traditional wreath making\, from mossing the ring through to decorating the wreath to your desired taste. Advise will also be given on how to look after your wreath once at home to keep it looking in perfect condition throughout the festive period. \nThere will also be complementary snacks\, mulled wine or spiced apple juice to enjoy throughout the session and help to get us all in the Christmas spirit. Places on our wreath making workshops are limited to ensure there is enough time to spend assisting and guiding people through the process and to create their perfect wreath. \nAbout our wreaths…. \nOur wreaths are made on moss rings and are created from traditional natural foraged materials such as Holly\, Ivy\, Conifer\, Pittosporum etc\, decorated with dried fruits\, cones\, berries\, dried teasels and poppy heads etc and finished with a choice of natural Hessian ribbon. \nPrice: £36.50 (not including eventbrite fee) price includes all materials to make your wreath\, mulled wine or spiced apple juice and snacks. \nPrivate Wreath Making Parties: We can run private wreath workshops for group of between 10 and 14 people. SUMMARY:Christmas Wreath Making Workshops
DESCRIPTION:Workshop dates: A choice of various dates throughout December running from 3rd Dec to 19th December. \nWho is this for…? \nA workshop for adults\, individuals\, friends\, family groups and parent and daughter/son (over 14yrs). \nOur popular traditional wreath making workshops are designed for the complete novice and also those who have some experience. You will spend a relaxed 2.5 hours learning how to make your very own traditional Christmas wreath to adorn your door. You will have the opportunity to learn all aspects of traditional wreath making\, from mossing the ring through to decorating the wreath to your desired taste. Advise will also be given on how to look after your wreath once at home to keep it looking in perfect condition throughout the festive period. \nThere will also be complementary snacks\, mulled wine or spiced apple juice to enjoy throughout the session and help to get us all in the Christmas spirit. Places on our wreath making workshops are limited to ensure there is enough time to spend assisting and guiding people through the process and to create their perfect wreath. \nAbout our wreaths…. \nOur wreaths are made on moss rings and are created from traditional natural foraged materials such as Holly\, Ivy\, Conifer\, Pittosporum etc\, decorated with dried fruits\, cones\, berries\, dried teasels and poppy heads etc and finished with a choice of natural Hessian ribbon. \nPrice: £36.50 (not including eventbrite fee) price includes all materials to make your wreath\, mulled wine or spiced apple juice and snacks. \nPrivate Wreath Making Parties: We can run private wreath workshops for group of between 10 and 14 people. For groups of friends\, Christmas work parties\, family get togethers and organisations. Parties can either be at our site or in at your chosen place. Please contact us for details. \nWhat to bring with you? Please bring with you a fairly well fitting pair of gardening gloves or thick marigolds\, if your gloves are too big it can be hard to feel your way around your moss ring. Holly is prickly so gloves are an essential item to bring. Please also bring a pair of secateurs that you are familiar with using\, everything else you will need to create your wreath will be supplied for you. \nA Little About Your Wreath Tutor! I have been making and teaching people of all abilities to make traditional Christmas wreaths for about 14 years. We will have use of the visitors centre and toilets and will be using a designated area of the beach.
