SUMMARY:The Very Hungry Caterpillar Summer Parent and Child Session 18m-8yrs
DESCRIPTION:Age range: Parent/carer and child morning for ages 18m to 8 years. Parents and siblings aged under 18 months attend for free. \nThe fun to be had….? \nThere are lots of fun activities to do at The Very Hungry Caterpillar session with your grown ups. You can make a paper pot and sow a seed to take home and grow into a plant that the very hungry caterpillar and her friends would love to munch through\, make a bead butterfly to play with and take home with you. Saw a piece of wood and thread things together to make your own very hungry caterpillar character and make a very hungry caterpillar crown! \nThe Very Hungry Caterpillar favourite thing to do is eating lots of different fruit and for our snack we will have lots of delicious fruit to make into fruit kebabs to munch through too. \nThere will also be time to explore the farm\, meet and greet some of the animals that live there\, play in our wooded area where you will find the swing\, hammock and mud kitchen. Whilst we have been planning our fun activities a very mischievous Peter rabbit has hidden our vegetable ingredients for our soup around the woodlands! Can you help us find them before he and his friends eat them all! Here are some of the fun activities on offer throughout our morning: \n\nHelp prepare our vegetable ingredients for our campfire soup. \nSaw a piece of wood to make into a log bunny!\nMake an animal character mask.\nEnjoy a hot chocolate around the campfire\nMake a mud soup in our mud kitchen area\nWhittle a stick to toast a marshmallow over our fire\n\nWhen you have finished making\, why not spend some time exploring and playing in the woods\, bug hunt\, relax in the hammock\, have a go on the rope swing or maybe build a den fit for a mischievous rabbit!!I am sure all this fun will be making you feel hungry\, so whilst you listen to a Peter Rabbit story why not try some of the vegetable soup that has been cooking over our fire.
