DESCRIPTION:Dates: 6 week programme\, from the Thursday 23rd February until 30th March 2023 inclusive\, for 1.5 hours between 1pm – 2.30pm. \nAge range: Home educated children aged 4 to 11yrs and their parents or carers. We also run Wildings\, a parent and child group in the morning for children under 5 yrs. \nWhat is the Wild Space? \nThe Wild Space is a family orientated group for home educated children aged 4 to 11yrs and their parents or carers\, offering fun\, explorative and skill developing sessions. Children can choose to learn new skills or develop existing ones. Tool work\, fire lighting\, campfire cooking\, shelter building and bushcraft are on the agenda\, or maybe sometime to explore\, make new friends or just relax and connect with themselves and be at one with nature! Our sessions are inspired by the children for the children\, using nature at its heart. With a relaxed learner led approach children can make choices about their time with us\, their skill development\, and learning opportunities following their own learning style. \nOtto the therapy dog will be supporting the sessions and is looking forward to making new hooman friends and helping the children settle in. He says his favourite things are playing\, exploring and eating snacks\, preferably not his own! \nThese sessions are also a great opportunity for parents to come together\, you can decide how involved you would like to be\, participate in the activities offered or have a chat and coffee with like minded individuals. These sessions are as much for the adult as they are for the children (An adult is required to stay for the duration of the session). \nSessions are run by a level 3 forest school leader\, forest school assistant. DESCRIPTION:Dates: Six week term\, from the Wed 22nd February until Wed 29th March inclusive\, for 2 hours between 9.30am – 11.30am. \nAge range: Children 18 months and 5 years. Children under 18 months are free to attend with a paying sibling. \nWhat To Expect: Little Wonders farm adventures is a parent and child group introducing your child to nature and outdoor learning through play. Your child will experience life on a smallholding\, meet and greet the animals\, explore the farm and experience some forest school activities. \nWe love creating at Little Wonders and each week there will be a new creation to take home and treasure. We use a variety of natural foraged items and crafting materials to make imaginative seasonal creations\, learn how to saw wood\, use palm drills to make holes in wood and some fire lighting too. There will also be opportunities to go on a mini bug hunt\, relax in the hammock\, have a go on our nest swing\, play in the mud kitchen and explore. \nEach week we have a camp fire and one of the favourite things the children like to do is toasting marshmallows or another snack cooking activity that we occasionally do. Not forgetting to make sometime for playing with new friends and exploring this lovely setting too. DESCRIPTION:Sessions: Monday 24th October\, 9.30am – 11.30am or 1-3pm \nLocation: Applefield Smallholding\, Chalk Lane\, Sidlesham\, Chichester\, PO20 7LW \nAge range and group size: Parent/carer and child session for ages 18m to 8 years. Parents/carers and children aged under 18 months attend for free when accompanied by a paying sibling. \nThe fun to be had….? \nWhat’s been cooking? Pumpkin soup\, the best you’ve ever tasted! Join us for a fun packed session based around the book Pumpkin Soup by Helen Cooper . \nHere’s what we will be doing: \n\nA bagpiping cat\, a squirrel with a banjo and a singing duck! Lets make our own musical instruments too.. what will yours sound like?\nGet creative and make a no-carve pumpkin to take home.\nPeel and chop some vegetable to make our own vegetable soup to cook over our campfire..yum!\nMeet and greet the different animals that live on our farm.\nMake an animal character mask to wear.\nToast a marshmallow and enjoy a hot chocolate around the fire circle.\n\nWe will also…. Spend some time exploring and playing\, bug hunting\, relaxing in the hammock or have a go on the nest swing and make a mud pie or two in the mud kitchen. \nThen… Relax around the fire circle and try some of our delicious home made pumpkin soup. There will also be complimentary tea or coffee for the adults. \nFinally… Storytime listening to the Pumpkin story book\, before it’s time to go home all worn out! \nPrice: Child tickets 18m upwards £16.00 includes all craft items to take home\, a no carve pumpkin\, all activities and refreshments\, pumpkin soup and marshmallows. \nChildren under 18 months attend for free when accompanied by a full paying child.
