DESCRIPTION:Age range: Parent/carer and child morning for ages 18m to 8 years. Parents and siblings aged under 18 months attend for free. \nThe fun to be had….? \nThere are lots of fun activities to do at The Very Hungry Caterpillar session with your grown ups. You can make a paper pot and sow a seed to take home and grow into a plant that the very hungry caterpillar and her friends would love to munch through\, make a bead butterfly to play with and take home with you. Saw a piece of wood and thread things together to make your own very hungry caterpillar character and make a very hungry caterpillar crown! \nThe Very Hungry Caterpillar favourite thing to do is eating lots of different fruit and for our snack we will have lots of delicious fruit to make into fruit kebabs to munch through too. \nThere will also be time to explore the farm\, meet and greet some of the animals that live there\, play in our wooded area where you will find the swing\, hammock and mud kitchen. Parents and siblings aged under 18 months attend for free. \nThe fun to be had….? \n“A mouse took a stroll through the deep dark wood”…… come with us on an adventure and discover the Gruffalo trail through the woods\, find where the fox\, owl\, snake and mouse live! \n“You’ll taste good on a slice of bread” said the Gruffalo…..Gruffalo tails taste good too! We’ll use tools to whittle sticks and cook curly pastry tails over the fire to enjoy with home-made jam or our local honey…yum…yum \nLet’s get creative and fill the forest with lots of tree Gruffalo faces made with clay\, twigs\, cones and leaves or you may want to make your favourite Gruffalo character to take home. \nHave a go at sawing a wooden disc to decorate with your favourite Gruffalo character and make into your very own woodland necklace. \nIf that’s not enough… \nThen why not…. \nSpend some time playing and exploring our woodland site\, swing in the hammock\, practise your balancing skills on our giant woodland balance beam and have a go on the swing. \nWe’ll finish our session enjoying some marshmallows toasted over the fire before its time to go home. \nPrice: Child tickets £14.00 includes all craft items and cooking activities. DESCRIPTION:A family day of forest school\, farm fun and crafts for all ages. \nEligibility: These sessions are FREE to attend and are funded by the WSCC HAF grant. The sessions are specifically designed for children with special educational needs and disabilities\, physically disabled children\, their siblings\, parents and carers. To access the free places children will also need to be eligible for benefit assessed free school meals and each have a HAF code to book their place. \nDate: Sunday 7th April\, 10-3pm \nLocation: Applefield Smallholding\, Chalk Lane\, Sidelsham\, Chichester \nThe day.. \nThe Morning: \n\nExplore the smallholding and meet some of the farm animals. Feed and meet Rosemary and Angela the donkeys\, Chilli\, Olive and Jigsaw the goats\, the sheep and chickens\, including bedroom slippers the chicken!\nParticipate in some forest school activities such as fire lighting\, whittling sticks to toast marshmallows over the fire\, learn to use some hand tools to make a woodcraft item.\nBug hunt and mud kitchen\nSwing and hammock\nNatural crafts\nRelax and spend some quality time as a family in a beautiful and peaceful setting.\nBe involved in preparing and cooking the lunch over the fire.\n\nLunch: Lunch is included as part of the day \nThe Afternoon: \n\nEaster themed crafts to take home as a reminder of your day with Lizzie at Lizzie’s Craft Club.\nRelaxing and soaking in the therapeautic atmosphere of Applefield.\nEntertainment from Chris North – Freedom Through Fun.\n\nPrice: FREE – Places are fully funded through the WSCC HAF grant. \nBooking information: ALL childrens spaces should be booked through the WSCC online booking page and can be found by seaching our event through: https://haf.bookinglab.co.uk/westsussex/37147/login. (The WSCC free spaces HAF booking page goes live on 19th February) \nSiblings under school age and parent/carer places. Siblings who are under school age and who will not have a HAF code due to their age can attend for free and do not need to book via the app. Parents/carers also attend for free and do not need to book a place. \nImportant information: ALL children who will be attending including siblings (school age) will need to book a place using their HAF code. Places are limited and are offered on a first come first served basis. \nSEND details: We would be grateful if you can let us know any information that you feel necessary. This is so that we can support your child and offer them the most positive and enjoyable experience at the sessions. Unfortunately we cannot offer one to one support for children who attend these sessions. \nMy child has food allergies: There is a section on the order form to complete with any food allergies. There are some chairs on site\, but please do bring picnic blankets and picnic chairs to make yourself more comfortable at lunchtime. \nThings to note: Parking will be available in the farmyard or the field(weather permitting) with plenty of wheelchair access and space for lowering ramps etc. The site is wheelchair accessible\, with a wheelchair friendly bathroom with hoist and changing area. \nIf it rains: We have a communal greenhouse and fire side shelter which can be used for activities or at lunchtime. \nExtreme weather: We will endeavour to run these sessions in most weather\, however if we do need to cancel do to bad weather we will contact you via email or the number you provide on your booking. \nYour data and how we use it? We require you to complete a consent form for all attendees\, the information we gather is to ensure the day we plan meets the needs of the children attending and is used as part of the current event only. Your information is not kept after the event has finished. We will only keep your email if you have given consent for us to email you to inform you of further family days and if photo consent is given\, use the photographs for event pictures\, Facebook page\, our website or blog page.

DESCRIPTION:Join us for a Christmas family forest school session\, for SEND children of all ages and their family. \nThe session will be held in the discover garden with in Hotham Park\, Bognor Regis \nThere will be various different forest school activities to participate in such as\nWoodworking\nWhittling\nFire lighting\nCooking lunch over the fire.\nPreparing food for our snack and lunch.\nCrafts\nHammock\, swing\nGames and activities \nWe will have use of Hotham Lodge\, where you can leave belongings and use in the event of bad weather. The forest school area is the discovery garden within Hotham Park\, which will be closed to the general public and made secure when we are using it. We will be also using the park itself at times too. There is permanent covered area within our forest school area. \nCost: Free\, funded by the WSCC Holidays and Activities Grant. Places are limited. Children’s HAF code will be required to book at: https://haf.bookinglab.co.uk/westsussex/37147/login \nPlease only book places for your children through the HAF system. Adults and siblings who are under 4 are not required to book through this system.
