We’ve designed some fun activities perfect for dads and male carers to enjoy with their children. At Dangerous Dads our aim is to provide an opportunity for our families to spend some quality time together and make some fun and long lasting memories together\, and hopefully learn a new skill too. \nOur mornings are relaxed and informal and children can participate in the activities that they choose. We will be offering fire lighting activity\, whittling sticks to toast marshmallows over the fire\, and a sawing activity. Bug hunting\, a mud kitchen to make some mud pies\, the hammock to relax in\, and not forgetting some exploring and playing too. \nWe hope that you can make it! \nPrice: Child tickets £8.50 per child. SUMMARY:The Wild Space Home Ed Family Group Term-Time (6 week term)
DESCRIPTION:Dates: 6 week programme\, from the Thursday 23rd February until 30th March 2023 inclusive\, for 1.5 hours between 1pm – 2.30pm. \nAge range: Home educated children aged 4 to 11yrs and their parents or carers. We also run Wildings\, a parent and child group in the morning for children under 5 yrs. \nWhat is the Wild Space? \nThe Wild Space is a family orientated group for home educated children aged 4 to 11yrs and their parents or carers\, offering fun\, explorative and skill developing sessions. Children can choose to learn new skills or develop existing ones. Tool work\, fire lighting\, campfire cooking\, shelter building and bushcraft are on the agenda\, or maybe sometime to explore\, make new friends or just relax and connect with themselves and be at one with nature! Our sessions are inspired by the children for the children\, using nature at its heart. With a relaxed learner led approach children can make choices about their time with us\, their skill development\, and learning opportunities following their own learning style. \nOtto the therapy dog will be supporting the sessions and is looking forward to making new hooman friends and helping the children settle in. He says his favourite things are playing\, exploring and eating snacks\, preferably not his own! \nThese sessions are also a great opportunity for parents to come together\, you can decide how involved you would like to be\, participate in the activities offered or have a chat and coffee with like minded individuals. These sessions are as much for the adult as they are for the children (An adult is required to stay for the duration of the session). \nSessions are run by a level 3 forest school leader\, forest school assistant.
