SUMMARY:The Wild Space Home Ed Group (5 week programme)
DESCRIPTION:What is the Wild Space? \nThe Wild Space is a family orientated group for home educated children aged 5 to 11yrs and their parents or carers\, offering fun\, explorative and skill developing sessions. Children can choose to learn new skills or develop existing ones. Tool work\, fire lighting\, campfire cooking\, shelter building and bushcraft are on the agenda\, or maybe sometime to explore\, make new friends or just relax and connect with themselves and be at one with nature! Our sessions are inspired by the children for the children\, using nature at its heart. With a relaxed learner led approach children can make choices about their time with us\, their skill development\, and learning opportunities following their own learning style. \nOtto the therapy dog will be supporting the sessions and is looking forward to making new hooman friends and helping the children settle in. He says his favourite things are playing\, exploring and eating snacks\, preferably not his own! \nThese sessions are also a great opportunity for parents to come together\, you can decide how involved you would like to be\, participate in the activities offered or have a chat and coffee with like minded individuals. These sessions are as much for the adult as they are for the children (An adult is required to stay for the duration of the session). \nSessions are run by a level 3 forest school leader\, forest school assistant. Fully DBS certificated\, first aid and safeguarding trained\, and Otto the therapy dog\, who is has heaps of enthusiasm and love to give! \nDates: 5 week programme\, from the Thursday 12th January to Thursday 9th February 2023 inclusive\, for 2 hours between 1pm – 3pm. \nAge range: Home educated children aged 5 to 11yrs and their parents or carers. For children under 5\, we run Wildings\, a parent and child group in the morning. \nPrice: \nBlock booking: Complete 5 weeks: 1st child £58.00\, siblings £48.00. \nOne off session: £14.00 per child. \nBooking link: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/475137116907 \nParents and carers attend for free.
